RE-SCRIPTING
SEPTEMBER is pleased to present RE-SCRIPTING as part of our SEPTEMBER SOMETIMES exhibition series and in conjunction with the inaugural Rough Notes Literary Festival founded and organized by Kinderhook Books. Opening on Saturday, August 29, 5-7pm, the exhibition will feature works by Mara Baldwin, Jane Bustin, Nicole Cherubini, Taylor Davis, Shanekia McIntosh, Cauleen Smith.
The works in the show incorporate written language in varying forms including collage, painting, sculpture, and vinyl. They reference literature, poetry and film which point to inequities and offer new ways of thinking about histories and social structures.
